About us
I’m Laura Hamilton, a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, SSI Instructor, Swim Instructor, Autism Swim Instructor, and lifelong ocean advocate. After years of travelling, teaching, and witnessing the transformative power of water, I founded Just Dive In CIC to make the magic of aquatics truly accessible to everyone.
From the very beginning, my husband Euan Hamilton has been a vital part of this journey — from physically building our Paisley centre to supporting the delivery of sessions, logistics, and everything in between. Together, we’ve poured our time, skills, and personal savings into creating a space where everyone can thrive in, on, under, near, or around water.
Our adventure is a profoundly personal one. I took a wild ride through a life-changing back injury and pancreatitis, which threw everything into a whirlwind and left me with Type 3c Diabetes. Juggling chronic pain and tricky health hurdles, I got a front-row seat to the frustration of being shut out from services and support—like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Hearing "No" became an all-too-familiar tune.
That experience is the rocket fuel for our mission! Just Dive In CIC sprang to life because we firmly believe everyone deserves a splash of inclusion—no matter if it’s due to disability, neurodivergence, past traumas, a crisis of confidence, or just life's curveballs.
Nestled in the heart of Paisley, we’ve crafted a cozy aquatic paradise where folks of all ages and abilities can dive into confidence, explore new depths, and let water work its healing magic. Whether it’s scuba diving, mermaiding, swimming, floating, crafting, or safety training—our menu is all about smashing down barriers, not building them up!

Every penny we earn dives right back into the community. So, come on in—the water’s warm and welcoming!
Why We Exist
Water is more than a skill — it’s a lifeline, a confidence builder, and a pathway to joy. For many of our participants, stepping into the pool is the first step toward connection, healing, or a lifelong love of the ocean.
In Scotland, accidental drowning remains one of the leading causes of preventable death, and over 1 in 4 children with additional support needs miss out on swimming lessons. We’re changing that — by creating spaces where everyone can learn, explore, and belong.
Our Vision
To create a Scotland where aquatic therapy, safety, and joy are available to all — removing financial, sensory, cultural, and confidence barriers. We’re building something lasting: a community where the water belongs to everyone.
